Step-by-Step Instructions for Completing the Z83
Fill in the exact job title, department name, and post reference number specified in the vacancy circular.
Provide full legal names, RSA ID number, contact telephone, email address, and demographic details for EE compliance.
List language proficiencies and indicate your driver's license code if applicable.
Summarize your Matric, tertiary degrees, institutions, and current and previous employer history with dates.
Provide at least 2 contactable professional references and answer the mandatory background check questions.
Date and sign Part 2. Unsigned Z83 applications are automatically disqualified by government departments.
Avoid Common Disqualification Errors
- Using old pre-2021 Z83 forms (only the new gazetted form is accepted).
- Leaving the reference number blank or illegible.
- Submitting without a signature and date in Section G.
- Submitting after the closing date specified in the vacancy notice.
