Mid-Senior OutSystems Developer

Job Summary

A prominent, SANAS-accredited Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) verification agency is seeking a Mid-Senior OutSystems Developer who will drive low-code innovation and build high-impact enterprise applications as part of our expanding engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Delivery: Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise applications across OutSystems and ODC platforms.
• Architecture & Integration: Participate in technical reviews and architect integrations with internal systems and third-party platforms via REST APIs.
• Performance & Governance: Maintain high standards of code quality, performance optimization, application security, and OutSystems governance.
• Agile Collaboration: Partner closely with business analysts, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to refine and execute technical requirements.
• Team Leadership: Mentor junior developers, share domain knowledge, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.

Requirements

• OutSystems Expertise: 3 to 5 years of hands-on OutSystems development experience, including proven background with OutSystems Developer Cloud (ODC) and Reactive Web Applications.
• Certifications: OutSystems Associate Reactive Developer certification (minimum).
• Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience consuming and exposing REST APIs, along with strong SQL and relational database skills.
• Delivery & SDLC: Solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Problem Solving & Communication: Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, paired with strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Advanced Certifications: Additional OutSystems credentials, such as OutSystems 11 or ODC-related certifications.
• Cloud & Integration: Experience working with Azure, cloud-native environments, or complex enterprise system integrations.
• DevOps Knowledge: Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
