Job Summary

iMasFinance Cooperative Limited is a financial services (financing and insurance) provider seeking a dynamic and experienced Accountant to join our team in Centurion. The position reports to the Regional Manager: Finance and is responsible to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and effective financial controls. The role supports business decision-making through sound financial analysis and plays a key role in month-end, year-end, and audit processes

Key Responsibilities

Job output: Responsibilities include the execution of the day-to-day regional financial activities, including but not limited to:

• Prepare and submit creditors payments for approval.
• Manage petty cash and staff refunds in accordance with the petty cash policy and procedures.
• Ensure that month-end and year-end timelines are adhered to.
• Manage fixed assets register by preparing and submitting fixed asset journals and reconciliations for approval.
• Prepare and submit general ledger journal and reconciliations for approval.
• Manage and resolve all external and internal audit findings.
• Adhere to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures.
• Report non-compliance and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance.
• Process daily bank journals and reconciliations

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

• BCom Accounting or equivalent (Essential / Minimum)
• 1-3 years accounting experience, preferably in the banking or financial services industry
