Driver - Cape Town

Job Summary

The Driver is responsible for transporting steel and coils efficiently, and on time, while complying with company policies and road regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections (pre-trip inspections)
• Load and offload goods correctly and safely
• Ensure timely delivery of goods
• Maintain accurate trip records (logbook / trip sheets)
• Report any vehicle faults or incidents immediately
• Comply with all traffic laws and company procedures
• Safeguard the vehicle and transported goods
• Communicate effectively with the dispatcher or supervisor

Requirements

Relevant Experience:

• 5 years experience
• Experience in driving trucks/heavy vehicles

Minimum Qualification:

• Valid driver's license (Code 10)
• Valid PDP (Professional Driving Permit)
• Code 14 driver's license will be advantageous
